I just read an awesome review on Tripadvisor of Casa de los Suenos on Isla Mujeres.
I felt I needed to say just a little bit more.
The thing missing from this review is how truly sincere Patti is, she didn’t offer to put these people up in her house or give them the Presidential Suite because she was hoping for a good Tripadvisor review.
This is the kind of person she is, Perry and I have known Patti for several years and this is really her personality, to make things the best she possibly can for a guest. Our hats off to Patti and staff for providing a truly memorable and great experience to her guests!
What I would like to share is a story on their determination to make our lives perfect

So many great reviews here, and our stay was no different. Everything was perfect! During the busiest week of the year the owners & staff would bend over backwards to make sure your every little whim was taken care of! Patti, one of the owners & an absolutely amazing person has truly mastered the art of multitasking! Everyone else has described the rooms, the place, and, the people and it is all true! Totally amazing! What I would like to share is a story on their determination to make our lives perfect, even in an imperfect world. We were scheduled to leave the day after Christmas. A terrible snow storm hit the midwest. we would have never made it out.
we called the airline, left a day early. we had no room booked for that night and every room on the island was taken! we had no transportation from cancun airport to the island as that was booked and paid for for the next day! at the dayton airport I emailed Casa de Los Suenos of our dilemma. at our layover in charlotte, Patti had returned my email saying not to worry. She told us that if push came to shove, she would put us up in her house!!! She told us to look for her husband when we got off the plane and leave the rest up to her! sure enough, he was right where she told us he would be. drove us to the ferry, paid for our boat trip to the island, hooked us up with food, (haven’t eaten since previous day) and took care of our taxi to the hotel!! when we got there we received a warm welcome and Patti took us to see what she had planned for us. The people who booked the presidential suite were delayed so…. Guess where we stayed!? we got the presidential sweet for the same as our regular rate for our first night at Casa de Los Suenos. Wow is all I can say. The pictures really don’t do the place justice. you have to see it to believe it! Also, as all we have had to eat was a snack since dinner the night before, she also hooked us up with the wonderful Christmas dinner at the hotel restaurant on the water even though it was by reservation only!! One thing you can believe for sure, Everyone at this place, I mean everyone, is committed to make sure that everything about your trip will be perfect!! Thank you so much Jim & Patti, Gonzo & Anne, Louis, (my fav barkeep!), the cleaning staff, ( who cleaned our room, while in the mist of a bit of a hangover on my part, with our safe door standing wide open, cash and wallet laying out on the table & not a dime was missing!) , and to everyone one else who treated us like kings and queens during our stay. We love and miss you all and can’t wait to come back! ( Being a bit spoiled by Patti, we are def looking forward to a longer stay in the presidential!!)
We give Casa de Los Suenos our highest ranking! That’s right, FIVE taco guys! 🙂
