I read alot of travel forums and a question I see asked over and over is “how do I get from the airport to my hotel, Akumal, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen..etc.”
If transportation is not part of your vacation package, you will need to decide how to get to your hotel.

Do not talk to anyone offering you a “free ride” to your hotel, nothing is free!
These are timeshare salesman, do not talk with these people, just a shake of the head, a “no thanks” or do not make eye contact at all…keep walking!

From the Cancun airport to your hotel in the Cancun hotel zone
1. Taxi from the airport, $64.00us one way, this is not our recommended way to get to your hotel.
2. Shared van or “colectivo” from the airport, $16.00us per person one way. You will have to take a taxi back to the airport, around $20.00us. There are no colectivos to the airprot from the hotel zone.
3. Pre-arrange a private transfer company to meet you at the airport upon your arrival. This is what we recommend for a hassle-free, quick ride to your hotel.
